YouTube will be less annoying: goodbye to email notifications

YouTube will stop sending email notifications when a new video is uploaded on a channel that you are a follower as Google has announced.

YouTube is an essential application on Android phones in Spain, one of the ones we use most frequently on our phones. Like many applications on Android, it emits notifications, which we can configure to our liking at all times, it is even possible to group them , so that it is less annoying on the phone and in the daily use of the app

A notification that YouTube continues to broadcast, but that many find annoying, is the email notification in which they inform you that there is a new video. Luckily, Google finally makes a decision in this regard, which will surely appeal to most users. How to schedule YouTube notifications so they don’t bother you

YouTube stops sending email notifications

It was Google itself who confirmed it in a post . YouTube informs users in various ways about a new video available on one of the channels you are subscribed to, such as displaying a notification in your application on the phone. Another method is to send an email notification, which now comes to an end.

In addition, we will not have to wait too long for the end of these types of notifications. Google itself confirms that this week comes to an end, since it will be this Thursday (August 13) when they stop sending email notifications in which they inform about a new video that is available to watch. A type of notification that long ago stopped making sense to most and that Google itself has seen, causing them to give it an end.

It is also not a coincidence that Google stops issuing these types of YouTube email notifications. The company has figures that support its decision, because only 0.1% of users actually open these emails to access said video. In short, it is a method that does not work, so it does not make sense to continue with it.

YouTube is committed to push notifications in the application , which work better and thus allow the user to immediately access said video from their Android phone when a video has been uploaded from a channel they follow.
