How it works
The tool multiplies your system size by the daily energy it should generate, limits that to what you actually use, and values it at your electricity tariff. Payback is the system cost divided by yearly savings.
Things to check
- Replace the sample numbers with real quotes from installers.
- Energy per kW per day depends on your location, roof direction and shade.
- Panels lose a little output each year and tariffs change, so treat the long-term figure as a rough guide.
Does this include subsidies or net metering?
No. Subtract any subsidy from the system cost yourself, and remember that export credits are not included.
